Do not prejudge this place like me until you eat their pasta haha They can make their pasta DAIRY-FREE!!! :) Friday night 1150pm (starving for dinner), dead. No one here but 1 group, and 2 friends catching up. Club music being played. Staff, seemed like in a rush? The staff in company shirt seemed nicer? Music is loud. Recommend sitting away from it if possible.
Service: Eh, kinda like if you were in Ktown? Except this place isn't busy. The person in pink work shirt is nicer.
Food: (I have dietary restriction/dairy allergy so my food judgement is skewed to just being happy I get options I normally never get):
- We loved the kim chi spaghetti! Super spicy even when asked for mild. Mayo sauce, asked for no dairy. Fatty delicious! Great drinking food lol
- Korean fried chicken was okay. I liked that it came with radish, and cole slaw.
I originally judged this place for its atmosphere and service? Service was so bad for an empty place, really just ruined the fun of trying this new place out. Almost wanted to walk out. They got our beer order wrong, but whatevers. We just wanted to eat!!! Was stressed temporarily moving; Didn't get to eat dinner until coming here around 11:50pm. Nothing else open blocks east (we were staying by MacArthur Park). -

This place.....is not good LOL
I'm not going to talk about what 80% of reviewers here are commenting about, which concerns the social "tone deafness" of this place. Yelp is for reviewing the food/service so that's what I'll be providing.
My friend's friend (who is an LA native) recommended this place to me and my group of 7~ friends. I was pretty excited because I've been to my fair share of Korean bars and the food and drinks was always amazing. Now I'm wondering why anyone would ever live in LA and actually recommend going here.
We ordered "animal style" fries, cream pasta with clam, seafood ramyun, kimchi fried rice, and pork belly with kimchi. The fries came out within 5 or so minutes and they were really good! Next was my friend's seafood ramen. I didn't get to try it but she said it tasted like instant noodles. Which is probably what it was. Plus she was supposed to get squid in the dish but there wasn't any lul.
We then proceeded to wait a whopping 30 or so minutes before getting our next meals. When the cream pasta with clam FINALLY came out, it was a huge disappointment. First of all, the damn dish was $16-$18 or so. Second of all, they had like 10 or so clam shells but only 3~ of them actually had clam meat in them. Lol? So you're basically paying almost $20 for pasta and some cream that tastes straight up bland. Usually my boyfriend treats me out for my meals but this dish was so bad that I felt bad and venmoed him the money for it. He doesn't deserve to waste his $$$ for something this crappy. I'm being kind with my words here before I'm unsure if there's Yelp Elite etiquette I need to follow, but yeah it's that bad.
Anyways, we waited another eternity or so for our pork belly dish. When it came out, it sucked too. I don't know too much about Korean cuisine, but a lot of pork belly based dishes have a signature "cut" which is the meat AND the fat on top. I don't know what kind of cheap stuff they used for this dish but there was no pork fat whatsoever on the meats. Not to mention it tasted really grainy. Kimchi was ok but then again you can't really go wrong with kimchi.
So yeah. Overpriced place. Food is really bad and takes forever to come out. Avoid this place. You don't need to be enraged by the theme to not go, the food itself should be enough to discourage you. -

We've been coming here pretty consistently over the past year or so. A random find for us and ended up loving the vibe of the place. Typical Korean bar environment. Loud music, music videos playing, and separate rooms for different groups to enjoy their own private section.
Happy hour 5pm-9pm. We usually come here for the the gizzards and soju. Who I assume is the owner is a really cool dude. You'll see him running around the place and serving tables while mingling freely. Overall a fun environment to kick it w friends, drink, and enjoy the music. We've seen a few birthdays hosted here! So fun! Be expecting bar food prices. Cool theme too. Prizon vibes!
